GadgetFix Perth – Terms & Conditions

1. Repair Service Agreement

1.1 Acceptance of Agreement

1.1.1 By submitting your device to GadgetFix Perth for assessment or repair, you (“the Customer”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.1.2 This agreement is effective from the date your device is received by GadgetFix Perth.

1.1.3 We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time, with updated terms applying to future repairs.

1.2 Scope of Work

1.2.1 GadgetFix Perth will perform repairs or services as agreed upon in the provided quote.

1.2.2 Repairs are conducted using high-quality aftermarket, refurbished, or OEM parts, as stated in the quote.

1.2.3 Where genuine manufacturer parts are unavailable, compatible alternatives may be used.

1.2.4 Customers must disclose any prior repairs, attempted repairs, or modifications performed by any other party.

1.3 Quotes and Approvals

1.3.1 All work is subject to written customer approval.

1.3.2 Quotes are valid for 14 calendar days.

1.3.3 If additional faults are found during repair, the customer will be contacted for approval before extra work begins.

1.3.4 If the customer declines additional repairs after approval, a diagnostic fee may still apply.

1.3.5 A diagnostic fee of $30 per device applies. If the customer proceeds with the repair, this fee is credited towards labour. If the customer declines repair, the fee is non-refundable.

1.3.6 For repairs where parts exceed $100, a 50% deposit of the parts cost is required before ordering. This deposit is non-refundable once parts have been ordered.

1.3.7 If the customer cancels after parts are ordered, the deposit will be retained to cover costs.

1.4 Turnaround Time

1.4.1 Estimated repair times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

1.4.2 Delays may occur due to parts availability, complexity, workload, or unforeseen issues.

1.5 Customer Responsibilities

1.5.1 Customers must back up all data before repair. GadgetFix Perth is not liable for data loss.

1.5.2 All accessories (cases, SIM cards, SD cards, chargers) must be removed. GadgetFix Perth is not responsible for items left with the device.

1.5.3 Customers acknowledge that opening a device may void manufacturer warranty or remove water/dust resistance.

1.6 Risk Acknowledgement

1.6.1 Some devices carry inherent repair risks. These will be communicated prior to work.

1.6.2 GadgetFix Perth is not liable for pre-existing damage that worsens during repair unless caused by negligence.

1.7 Uncollected Devices

1.7.1 Devices not collected within 90 days may be disposed of under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1970 (WA).


2. General Terms and Conditions

2.1 General Conditions

2.1.1 These Terms apply to all repair and related services provided by GadgetFix Perth.

2.1.2 By engaging our services, the customer accepts these terms in full.

2.2 Services

2.2.1 We provide repair services for mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and other electronics.

2.2.2 Repairs may use aftermarket, refurbished, or OEM parts depending on availability and customer choice.

2.3 Liability Limitations

2.4 Quotes and Payment

2.4.1 Quotes may change if new faults are discovered.

2.4.2 Payment is due upon collection unless agreed otherwise.

2.4.3 Accepted payment methods: credit card, direct deposit, cash, PayID. Preferred method: direct deposit.

2.4.4 Credit card payments incur a processing fee charged by the payment provider.

2.4.5 Invoices must be paid within 28 days. Overdue invoices accrue a percentage-based late fee.

2.5 Parts and Ownership

2.5.1 All replaced parts remain the property of GadgetFix Perth unless requested prior to repair.

2.5.2 Warranty parts are subject to the Warranty Agreement.

2.6 Privacy

2.6.1 Customer data is not accessed or disclosed except as required for repair or legal compliance.


3. Warranty Agreement

3.1 Warranty Coverage

3.1.1 Warranty terms:

3.4.1 Warranty repairs may take longer due to required testing.


4. Limitation of Liability

4.1 The Customer agrees GadgetFix Perth shall not be liable for any damages arising from these Terms.

4.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of business, data, profits, or goodwill.

4.3 Our aggregate liability will not exceed the fair market value of the device at submission.

4.4 GadgetFix Perth provides physical repair services only and disclaims liability for third-party software issues.


5. Entire Agreement

5.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between GadgetFix Perth and the Customer.

5.2 This agreement supersedes all prior discussions and understandings.

5.3 Both parties acknowledge no reliance on any representation not expressly stated in this agreement.


6. Governing Law

6.1 This agreement is governed by the laws of Western Australia.
